MCA Chicago Releases Advance Tickets for Virgil Abloh's "Figures of Speech" Exhibition
Limited tickets made available for in-person walkups.

This summer, MCA Chicago will host Virgil Abloh’s first museum exhibition entitled “Figures of Speech.” Set against an immersive space designed by Rem Koolhaas’ OMA*AMO firm, the momentous presentation will spotlight the Off-White™founder’s career highlights including his signature clothing collections, a documentary video of his fashion shows, furniture designs, graphic design works, and collaborative projects with artists Jenny Holzer, Arthur Jafa, and John Baldessari. The exhibition will be located at the Griffin Galleries of Art space on the museum’s fourth floor.
Abloh recently relayed his thoughts on the upcoming museum show via an Instagram post, expressing that his “narrative for 2019 is to finally reveal the rationale that exists underneath my creative outputs as one body of work,” he said in the caption. The multifaceted creative’s design ethos will ostensibly be unveiled via “a published book summarizing the last 20~ years of work,” that will release during his MCA Chicago exhibition.
“Figures of Speech” will be open to the public from June 10 until September 22. Head over to MCA Chicago’s website to register for advance tickets to the show. A limited number of tickets have been made available every day, throughout the entire span of the exhibit, for in-person walk-ups.
