Meguru Yamaguchi Creates an "Untainted Abstraction" for GR Gallery NYC

Alongside works by fashion designer and artist, Emilio Cavallini.

New York City’s GR Gallery will soon present a new exhibition entitled “Untainted Abstraction.” The momentous show will feature a total of 20 original works by Brooklyn-based artist Meguru Yamaguchi and Italian fashion designer-artist Emilio Cavallini. Alongside the new body of works is a limited edition print and a three-dimensional wall sculptural edition conceived by Yamaguchi. The interactive installation “will throw the visitor into a timeless world of energetic purity,” said the gallery in a statement. Altogether, Yamaguchi’s signature brushstroke sculptural paintings blend harmoniously with Cavallini’s fractal works in vivid tones.

Get an exclusive preview of the works in the slideshow above and expect “Untainted Abstraction” to open on September 5 from 6-9 pm EST. The show will be on view through October 14. Head over to GR Gallery’s website to learn more. Elsewhere in art, Blondey McCoy recently unveiled his new companion book for his “Us and Chem” solo exhibition this October.
