Mind-Bending Art Installations to Disrupt London's Hayward Gallery
Immersive works by Anish Kapoor, Yayoi Kusama, Larry Bell and more.

London’s Hayward Gallery is gathering 20 renowned international artists for an upcoming exhibition entitled “Space Shifters.” As the show’s name suggests, the extensive presentation aims to “alter or disrupt the visitor’s sense of space,” said the institution. A diverse range of contemporary sculptures, immersive site-specific installations, and new commissions will be placed across the gallery. Participating artists include Anish Kapoor, Yayoi Kusama, Larry Bell, Robert Irwin, and more.
“In ’Space Shifters,’ several artists ponder the notion of reflection and that its definition holds a double meaning: the physical mirroring of an object and the contemplative act,” the gallery explained. The show will commence on September 26 until January 6, 2019. In other art news, the Marciano Art Foundation in Los Angeles recently acquired Yayoi Kusama’s most-iconic immersive installation entitled All My Love for the Tulips, I Pray Forever.
