Lee Ufan Erects Large 'Iron Field' for Art Basel Unlimited 2018
Steel wires standing four feet from the ground.

Pace recently unveiled a large-scale installation entitled Relatum (Iron Field) by Korean minimalist painter and sculptor, Lee Ufan. The installation was meticulously built using natural and industrial materials. It’s essentially a field of narrow steel wires that stand approximately four-feet-tall with sand as the base. With this piece, Ufan aims to emphasize “the relationship between space, perception, and object,” said the gallery in a statement.
Relatum is currently on view at Art Basel Unlimited 2018 through June 17. Head over to Pace’s official website to view more projects. In other Basel news, Robert Longo is set to debut a new sculpture made of 40,000 bullet casings dubbed Death Star.
