Watch Lee Quinones Repaint His Iconic 'The Lion's Den' Mural

The famous handball piece makes its way to LA.

Legendary graffiti writer Lee Quinones recreated his famous The Lion’s Den handball wall mural at the Beyond The Streets festival in Los Angeles, California. Quinones first painted the piece in 1980 at the Corlears Junior High School 56 in New York City. The artwork harks back to the heyday of graffiti, paying homage to the subculture’s originators especially the late-70s subway art movement.

Courtesy of Juxtapoz, watch Quinones recreate The Lion’s Den piece on a handball wall outside of the BTS venue in the video above. Not long ago, the artist teamed up with Supreme to develop apparel centering upon the acclaimed Lower East Side mural.
