KAWS Officially Debuts 'SEEING/WATCHING' Permanent Sculptures in China

The OG ‘Companion’ and ‘BFF’ sitting back to back.

Last March, KAWS posted photos on Instagram teasing new permanent sculptures in China. This time around, the globally-famous artist officially unveils the SEEING/WATCHING statues that portray the original Companion and the more-recent BFF character sitting back to back.

The humongous artworks were made in collaboration with Hong Kong-based studio, AllRightsReserved (ARR). Both pieces are installed at the edge of the newly-completed Changsha IFS skyscraper in Hunan. Accompanying the sculptures is a sprawling wall wrap at the top of the modern building that depicts an all-new composition by KAWS.
