Artist Suzann Victor Crushes Stained Glass to Create Religious Sculptures

For a new solo exhibit titled “See Like a Heretic.”

Leading Singaporean artist Suzann Victor is the subject of a new exhibition at Singapore’s Gajah Gallery. Victor is known for her mixed-media works and kinetic installations that touch upon socio-political issues, religion, and physiology. Her latest body of work titled “See Like a Heretic,” invites viewers to contemplate their personal beliefs as they observe sculptures of religious icons crafted out of crushed stained glass. All of the artworks were made in collaboration with the Yogya Art Lab (YAL) in Indonesia.

Get a closer look at the pieces above and expect “See Like a Heretic” to launch this May 11 up until June 10. Visit Gajah Gallery’s official website to learn more.
