A Full Look at the Merch Range for KAWS' New "SEEING/WATCHING" Permanent Art Installation

Get them before they’re gone.

Ahead of the May 7 official unveil of his latest art piece displayed at Changsha IFS, KAWS, curator AllRightsReserved Ltd. and developer Wharf Group recently offered a full look at the merch range for the “SEEING/WATCHING” permanent art installation.

KAWS’ large-scale installation serves as a commemorative piece for the opening of Wharf Group’s largest development, the Changsha International Finance Square. Bringing together the contemporary artist’s adored COMPANION and BFF characters for the first time ever, the installation depicts the two intimately sitting back-to-back. Set to be installed at the Sculpture Garden of the integrated flagship complex — overlooking the city and Xiang River, “SEEING/WATCHING” will serve as a unique art experience in the commercial center.

Set to be available via an exclusive online pre-sale, the merch range is comprised of limited edition plushes, T-shirts, keychains, glass sets and tote bags centered around KAWS’ “SEEING/WATCHING” installation. Following the pre-sale, the 10 piece merch range will be available only at a themed pop-up at Changsha IFS, which exhibits classic COMPANION and BFF artworks, sketches of “SEEING/WATCHING” as well as making-of photos and videos.

No official pricing details just yet, but the online pre-sale of the “SEEING/WATCHING” merch will be available exclusively at DING DONG Takuhaibin April 26 with a follow-up release at the Changsha IFS pop-up.
