Rare KAWS & Supreme Pieces Sell for Thousands at Auction

From the collection of rapper Madchild.

Following our February announcement, Heritage Auctions has now announced the sale prices for Canadian rapper Madchild’s extensive collection of rare KAWS and Supreme pieces. The 13 highest sale prices all came from KAWS artworks with the Companion-Passing Through (Brown) sculpture taking first place with a price of $4,250 USD. The Supreme x Spalding 2007 basketball was the highest sold for the streetwear lot at $1,875 USD. Top lots from other artists include Takashi Murakami’s Mr. Dob (Gold) 2016 for $2,500 USD and RETNA’s Agua Sucia II 2012 for $2,125 USD. Collectively, the entire sale is being heralded as the first major auction of streetwear.

Browse through the complete list of items at Heritage Auctions’ official website. In case you missed it, a new exhibition in Orlando, Florida will feature artist reproductions of KAWS’ iconic 16-inch Dissected Companion.
