Riusuke Fukahori Unveils New Life-Like Resin Artworks of Goldfish

As part of a new Joshua Liner Gallery show called “Goldfish Blossoms.”

Joshua Liner Gallery has launched acclaimed Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori’s third and largest solo exhibition at its New York City space. Entitled “Goldfish Blossoms,” Fukahori masterfully created a new series of resin-based pieces portraying life-like paintings of goldfish swimming inside Japanese household objects. For each piece, the artist meticulously “alternates between pouring resin into a vessel and painting the goldfish with acrylic paint,” described the gallery. “Through his art, Fukahori chases what he thinks constitutes the perfect goldfish.”

“Goldfish Blossoms” is on view at Joshua Liner Gallery until January 19, 2019. In other stories, Leica expert and historian Lars Nepotil released a new volume entitled Leica Museum.
