George Condo Explores "Bacon's Women" In Intimate New Video
Analyzing the iconic artist’s female subjects.
Iconic artist George Condo recently paid a visit to Ordovas gallery in New York City to check out the latest “Bacon’s Women” exhibition. His experience was captured in an intimate video where Condo relayed his thoughts on Bacon’s female subjects. The gallery noted: “Although historically the emphasis has been on the men in Bacon’s life, the artist was equally engaged with women, many of whom he had long-lasting relationships with, and he painted more female than male nudes.”
In the exhibition walk-through, Condo is joined by Nicholas Cullinan, Director of the National Portrait Gallery, and Pilar Ordovas, Founder of Ordovas. Watch the 4-minute clip above and then head over to Ordovas’ website to learn more. The exhibition is currently on view until January 11, 2019.
