VHILS to Launch First Wynwood Walls Solo Show at Art Basel 2018

Alongside nine new installations by leading artists.

Goldman Global Arts enlisted renowned Portuguese artist VHILS to launch the first-ever solo show entitled “Ethereal” at its  GGA Gallery space during the forthcoming Art Basel 2018 festivities. Touching upon the organization’s theme of “Beyond Words” this year, the artist will present new carved portraits at in the space located at the heart of the Wynwood Arts District in Miami. He will also take over the entire facade of the building.

In addition to VHILS, the programming includes nine new installations and murals by celebrated artists such as AShop Crew (Canda), DEIH (Spain), KOBRA (Brazil), Martin Whatson (Norway), Queen Andrea (USA), Ron English (USA), Tomokazu Matsuyama (Japan), VHILS (Portugal) and JonOne (USA).

“Ethereal is a very special show that closes a ten-year cycle that saw me work in various cities around the globe in a bid to reflect on the accelerated pace of change and increased cultural homogenization that characterizes our contemporary urban societies and their impact on the present human condition,” said Vhils on his upcoming solo show.

Head over to Wynwood Walls’ official website to learn more about their Art Basel 2018 programming. The festivities kick off this November 25. Elsewhere in art, Erik Parker is set to launch a new solo exhibition in Hong Kong.
