After launching his largest exhibition in Asia at Perrotin Shanghai recently, artist Takashi Murakami has now announced that he is opening a souvenir store in Tokyo. Named Tonari No Zingaro, the new retail space will sell souvenirs and pieces from Murakami’s Kaikai Kiki gallery.

Details about the store are currently scarce, although Murakami did reveal that it will open its doors on December 1 and will be located on Nakano Broadway. The only other announcement about the store, which is currently under construction, is that it will feature a vending machine covered with signature Murakami motifs.

In other art news, RIMOWA has collaborated with Olafur Eliasson.
