KAWS 'GONE' Sculpture Graces 'Juxtapoz' Magazine's 25th Anniversary Issue

Also featuring REVOK, Haroshi, Icy & Sot, and more renowned artists.

Linchpin of street art documentation and multi-media art projects, Juxtapoz, has unveiled its 25th-anniversary issue with a photo of KAWSGONE Companion gracing its cover. Earlier this November, the internationally renowned artist launched his most-anticipated “GONE” exhibition at the Skarstedt Gallery in New York City. In the issue, the publication sat down with KAWS to discuss the aforesaid showcase, fashion and toy collaborations, as well as his large-scale art installations in major cities across the globe. Furthermore, stories on leading artists such as REVOK, Haroshi, Swoon, and Icy & Sot are also observed in the commemorative installment. Juxtapoz also met with Whitney Museum curator Donna De Salvo to discuss Andy Warhol’s latest retrospective for the issue.

“Over the past 25 years, we at Juxtapoz have seen our scope grow from the underground scenes of pop surrealism, graffiti, comics, and collectibles become a worldwide phenomenon,” the magazine stated. “As the Winter 2019 issue sees us celebrate a quarter century of one of the leading independent publications in the world, we thought none other than NYC-based artist KAWS would best represent the evolution of Juxtapoz and the art world since 1994.”
