Felipe Pantone Wraps Romance x Specialized Bicycle With Glitchy Graphics

A one-off bike to benefit the World Bicycle Relief Charity.

Felipe Pantone recently teamed up with independent London-based clothing label Romance on a one-off, customized bicycle produced by Specialized. Pantone’s distinctive motifs of glitchy computer graphics, distorted patterns, and vivid shapes are observed across the frame. The bike is set to be auctioned online at Romance’s official website starting November 17 until November 27. All proceeds will help benefit the World Bicycle Relief Charity. With the money raised, the label hopes to enable World Bicycle Relief to provide many bikes for communities across Africa alongside programs focusing on greater access to education and healthcare.

“I’m all for people interacting with my artwork – when Romance brought the collab concept to me, to apply my work to their cycling kit and a bike, it seemed like a good fit. The results speak for themselves – dynamic, fluid and lively,” said Felipe Pantone of the collaboration.

According to Romance, Sotheby’s London recently valued the bicycle at approximately $42,000 USD. Get a closer look at the custom bike above and let us know your thoughts. Elsewhere in art, take a look inside Vincenzo De Cotiis’ “En Plein Air” exhibition.
