Textile Artist Eric N. Mack To Launch First-Ever Solo Exhibit in NYC

Launching January 2019 at the Brooklyn Museum.

Maryland-born artist Eric N. Mack creates dynamic artworks using textiles, found clothing, ripped rags, and pattern-heavy blankets. A self-proclaimed “painter,” Mack’s unconventional techniques to create these painterly compositions on mixed fabrics rejuvenates the role of a brush-wielder. Previous installations were produced using diverse oils, dyes and acrylic paints. With everything considered, his works are both painting and sculpture, ushering a new dialogue and perception for onlookers the world over.

The artist is set to present new original pieces for his first-ever solo exhibition in New York City this January 2019. Taking place at the historic Great Hall of the Brooklyn Museum, the momentous presentation will feature new site-specific installations. Stay tuned for more details and visit the Brooklyn Museum’s website to learn more. Elsewhere in art, KAWS recently launched his “GONE” exhibition at the Skarstedt Gallery in NYC.
