Le Corbusier’s Works from 1926-1936 Are on Display Now at Villa Stenersen
For the first time since 1966.

Despite mainly being known for his architecture work, Le Corbusier also had a career as an artist that contradicted his established persona.
The Nasjonalmuseet‘s Villa Stenersen location is now holding an exhibition that sheds light on the dreamy and often humorous artist side of the architect. Titled “Le Corbusier by the Sea,” the show features sketches, paintings and two films that touch on Corbusier’s summer vacations along the coast of southwest France between 1926-1936. It is interesting to note that “Le Corbusier by the Sea” is the first time Le Corbusier’s geometry and typological-informed artworks have been shown since 1966.
Check out some of Le Corbusier works on display at Nasjonalmuseet’s Villa Stenersen location until December 16 above.
