Journey Through Kenya in a Photo Diary by Louis Vuitton's Kim Jones

The designer discusses how travel shapes his creative process.

It’s been a busy summer for Louis Vuitton and the brand’s menswear director, Kim Jones, with the debut of the house’s 2018 spring/summer collection in Paris and the general madness of the Supreme x Louis Vuitton collaboration and pop-up stores. Its understandable, then, that Jones would decide to take a holiday this summer, with the London-born designer recently heading to Kenya. He has now shared an extract from the diary he kept during the recent trip.

As well as giving a look at the images he took during his trip, Jones also explained to AnotherMan why Kenya was so important to him, and the role that travelling plays in his creative process: “Kenya is very special for me as I spent a lot of my childhood there … Whenever I travel I’m always looking for inspiration, and for that Kenya has been great. I’ve been taking tonnes of photos.”

In other Louis Vuitton news, the brand’s parent company LVMH has recently unveiled plans to open a huge theme park in Paris.
