José Parlá's Upcoming "Mirrors" Exhibit Features Italian Street Posters

Ripped directly from the walls of cities alongside intricate calligraphy.

Brooklyn-based artist José Parlá is set to launch a solo show titled “Mirrors” at Brand New Gallery in Milan, Italy. The presentation will feature a new array of Parlá’s signature paintings that utilize calligraphy alongside a plethora of layering materials. Not to mention, the artist has taken down street posters from public walls in Milan, Rome, Napoli, Matera, Bari, Lecce, and Bologna to create each work in the show.

Preview his Interplay: Polignano a Mare painting from the solo exhibit above. “Mirrors” will be open to public starting September 21 at Brand New Gallery.
