A$AP Yams, Childish Gambino & More Rap Icons Get Memorialized in 'Gangster Doodles'

As part of a new book packed with 300 Post-It note illustrations.

Canadian artist Marlon Sassy, famously known as Gangster Doodles, recently released a new book aptly dubbed Gangster Doodles. The hardcover tome boasts 336 pages of illustrations. More precisely, the artist used 3×3 yellow Post-It notes as the canvas for his striking series of portraits featuring widely-recognized rappers, athletes and nostalgic cartoons. A$AP Yams, Childish Gambino, The Notorious B.I.G., DOOM as well as Chief Wiggum from The Simpsons are memorialized in the batch of artwork—produced using everyday supplies such as fluorescent highlighters, Sharpies & pens. You can purchase the book at the Rappcats site for $50 USD.

Check out select imagery above and head over to Gangster Doodle’s official Instagram account to view more. The artist is set to launch a book signing at Rappcats in Los Angeles, California.
