Check out Artist Stefano Colferai Sculpt and Bring to Life a Collection of NBA Stars and Mascots

All for the NBAmoji app.

Although the NBA season has long come to a close with the Golden State Warriors being crowned champs, its presence is still being felt away from the hardwood. For instance, during the 2016/17 season, the league offices reached out to artist Stefano Colferai to commission sculpted players and mascots for its NBAmoji app. Creating a collection of 19 players and 26 mascots, the talented creator utilized plasticine to mold each character. Settling on a 15fps stop motion technique, the accompanying video takes us behind-the-scenes and into Colferai’s studio as we witness each character being brought to life. Choosing some of the league’s biggest stars, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, amongst others all make appearances. The app is available now via iTunes.
