Takashi Murakami Releases Facebook Messenger Frames to Promote Upcoming Exhibition

Featuring the artist’s signature “smiling daisies.”

To celebrate his upcoming exhibition at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Takashi Murakami and MCA recently teamed up with Facebook on frames for the social media platform’s Messenger app. Users can now select from three Murakami frames to decorate photos when using the Facebook Messenger app. The special frames feature Murakami’s “smiling daisies,” “Mr. DOB,” and the pink octopus work created for the MCA show. Try out the Murakami frames on Facebook’s Messenger app today and for those in the area “Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg” exhibition is slated to run at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art until September 24.
