Take a Closer Look at the adidas Originals x Daniel Arsham Installation at KITH NYC

Did you #CALLDANIEL yet?

Not long ago, adidas Originals and Daniel Arsham announced a new collaborative installation at KITH’s New York City flagship. The Three Stripes has now released new images of the installation for fans to get a closer look.

The immersive project centers upon a payphone draped in blue vinyl. Accompanying the installation is a mysterious number (+1-855-923-4327) that entices visitors to give it a ring in order to nab exclusive Arsham multiples. The Big Apple creative is no stranger to launching cryptic phone messages to coincide with his forthcoming Future Relic sculptures.

The new elusive number leads to an automated message —- presumably in Arsham’s own voice -—expressing:

Hey mom, how are you? Remember that idea I had? It’s happening. So, I just need to know everything that you remember about the ‘92 hurricane.”

What does it mean? We still haven’t got a clue and apparently, remaining clueless is what it’s all about. “The work is never about something specific, it’s always an invitation to think about things,” Daniel Arsham professed in a statement.

The co-branded project is slated to also take place in London, Tokyo and Seoul adidas Originals flagship stores. Take a look at the gallery above and #CALLDANIEL if you haven’t yet already. The adidas Originals and Daniel Arsham installation at KITH in NYC will be open for viewing until June 27.
