Wolfgang Tillmans' Works Over the Last 15 Years Gets Immortalized in Print

A glimpse into his photography, video projects, digital slide shows, publications and recorded music.

Renowned photographer Wolfgang Tillmans recently unveiled his cataloged masterpiece titled 2017. Celebrated for his countless contributions to the world of photography, the book and accompanying essay compilation provide in-depth accounts of the artists’ profound work, not only through his camera lens but via video projects, digital slide shows, publications and recorded music. Designed entirely by Tillmans himself, 2017 is considered to be his first major solo exhibition dedicated to the Tate Modern.

When asked to comment on his new project, Tillmans had this to say, “It is about looking at the world as forms, patterns and colors that have meaning, and there is no need to deny the superficial because the latter is always present. Stimulating reflection, dynamic and sometimes prophetic, 2017 questions the evolution of society and modernity.”

The book is available now at the Tate Modern Museum online store.
