Essentials: JonBoy

The tattoo artist to the stars has an affinity for Gucci goods.

JonBoy is arguably one of the most sought-after tattoo artists in New York City. A-listers such as Justin Bieber, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Jonas, and the Kardashian-Jenner family make up a fraction of his ever-expanding clientele list. He was recently tapped by Nike for its Air Max Day Sneakeasy event to tattoo fans with Nike-themed art and joined forces with GLRFND denim on a run of colette-exclusive denim. He also has some more exciting projects in the works which include a footwear collab with Koio. With all this going on, it’s safe to say that the Filipino-American artist’s stock is steadily on the rise.

JonBoy aka Mr. Jonathan Valena took some time out of his busy schedule to show HYPEBEAST his Essentials. It’s no secret that the man is a Gucci connoisseur and he brought along some prized pieces from the brand he uses in his daily routine. There’s also his own line of tattoo-related goods and his current sneaker of choice — the VLONE x Nike Air Force 1. Additionally, JB brought along his pet Pomeranian, appropriately named Gucci.

You can catch JonBoy on his grind at West 4 Tattoo in NYC, although the waiting list will most likely be in the months as of now.
