These Strange Photographs of a Chef Wearing His Ingredients Are Beyond Creepy

Can you look away?

Photographer Robert Harrison and chef Robbie Postma have created a photo series titled MENU that combines the elements of food photography and portrait photography in a way that will whet the palette of foodies and horror film buffs alike. In the collaborative series, Postma’s menu items are deconstructed into their base ingredients and then arranged onto his face in a way that brings to mind classic thriller faces that nightmares are made of. Some images took nine hours to create, with the full project taking a full year to complete. “Every grain of rice was added by hand, without the aid of digital manipulation,” the duo states. “MENU is hand-crafted. Just like the best food.”

You can see the full project at the duo’s official website, with a behind-the-scenes look at the project.
