Nobuyoshi Araki Is Staging an Exhibit Inside Saint Laurent's colette Pop-Up

Starring model Anja Rubik.

Legendary artist and photographer Nobuyoshi Araki is working with Saint Laurent and colette for his latest showcase.

Taking to Saint Laurent’s colette pop-up, Araki has unveiled a 16-part series known as “Saint Laurent Shiki-in,” which translates to “lust for color.” Revolving around shots of model Anja Rubik, the artwork stands as the very last display to be featured in the current Saint Laurent and colette collaboration. Besides Araki, Saint Laurent designer Anthony Vaccarello also helped Araki produce the piece; he described its subject as a “a free, hedonist and elusive woman.”

You can preview Nobuyoshi Araki’s “Saint Laurent Shiki-in” series above, and stop by Saint Laurent’s colette pop-up from December 2 to its December 20 closure to check it out in-person and in its entirety. The full exhibit will be available for viewing on the store’s upstairs mezzanine, and signed collector pieces will be on display on the first floor. Besides Araki’s work, Saint Laurent and colette’s new collaboration include’s new apparel, Baccarat crystal goods, vinyls, speakers and more.
