The Lot Radio Receives Fence Installation from ICY and SOT
In response to the refugee crisis and aggressive border control.

The Brooklyn-based brothers known as the artist duo ICY and SOT have installed a “site-specific installation” at The Lot Radio. The sculpture fuels the narrative in which the brothers renounce the transgressions being made against individuals suffering from the refugee crisis and aggressive border control. Similar pieces have featured a fence with a cut-out of a family running across country boundaries while others have served as a border intervention as barbed wire over a border wall was adorned with flowers.
The duo continues to use “public art to envision a world freed from borders, war, and violence.” To view more of their political and humanitarian work, check out their website. For more art news, Virgil Abloh and Jeff Koons speak in live “Art Talks” discussion.
