London's V&A Museum Brings Sustainable Fashion to the Forefront

Featuring pieces from Dries Van Noten, Vivienne Westwood & more.

With brands the size of Nike now looking toward a sustainable future for their business, there’s really no room left to deny the topic’s importance. With that in mind, London institution the Victoria & Albert Museum is now taking the opportunity to further spotlight the issue.

With contemporary examples featuring Vivienne Westwood and Dries Van Noten, a new exhibition — titled “Fashioned from Nature” — will examine the relationship between fashion and nature “from 1600 to the present day.” Set to open in 2018, the exhibition will pair sartorial treasures with natural history specimens, examining fabrics and processes, in an effort to make people consider the environmental realities of their closets.

“Fashioned from Nature” opens April 21 2018 at London’s Victoria & Albert with tickets available now, directly from the museum’s website.
