MADSAKI Opens First-Ever Solo Exhibit at Galerie Perrotin Seoul

Titled “Bada Bing, Bada Boom.”

Acclaimed Japanese artist and Kaikai Kiki affiliate MADSAKI is set to launch his first solo exhibition at Galerie Perrotin Seoul. Titled “Bada Bing, Bada Boom,” the upcoming showcase will spotlight new paintings inspired by cult American films such as Roman Holiday, Léon: The Professional, Rebel Without a Cause, Gone With the Wind, Indiana Jones and Sound of Music.

In addition, the artist’s parodies of the famous “Self-portrait” and “Flower Series” by Andy Warhol alongside pieces from his signature “Character Series” will be displayed in the space. Collectively, MADSAKI is widely-known for his humorous interpretations of pop culture fauna that feature his ubiquitous smiley faces with dripping eyes.

“Bada Bing, Bada Boom” is currently open to the public up until January 13, 2018. Visit Galerie Perrotin’s official website to learn more.
