Over 2,000 Daily Pictures of Barack Obama Can Be Found in Pete Souza's Archives

“I hope he captures my wave as I have a big grin and I say ‘I’m going on vacation’.”

Just because we’ll soon wave goodbye to current president Barack Obama, it doesn’t mean that he’ll be forgotten. Thanks to chief White House photographer Pete Souza, we’re able to follow a timeline of Obama’s life during his time as president as well as before he moved into the Oval Office, spanning back to Obama’s 2007 announcement that he’d be running for POTUS. Souza, who has become a dear friend to the Obama family also filled the same role while Ronald Reagan was president.

During the discussion, Souza mentioned that his goal was to catch the human side of Obama. In addition he mentioned intuition being important when doing his job with the Obama family such as being aware when to provide privacy as well as memorizing Barack’s movements and gestures.

Take a look at the video above and let us know what you think.
