The Impact of POW! WOW! on Washington, D.C.'s Local Art Scene

D.C. gets some new visuals.

POW! WOW! continues to make its way to more cities as it expands to the nation’s capital of Washington, D.C. In a video narrated by Kelly Towles, the local artist gives us a bit of a breakdown on the project and its positive impact on the local art community. The quickly growing city has never had much of a demand for street artists which gave the impression that they needed to relocate to build a successful career, but as more artists figure out strategies for marketing themselves on the internet, there is almost no need to operate in an ‘art city.’ Check out the video above to see how POW! WOW! D.C. is giving a thriving community some refreshing visuals.
