KAWS to Launch 'WHERE THE END STARTS' Book With Corresponding Exhibition in Texas

KAWS hits the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth this October.

KAWS has a brand new book on the way. A followup of sorts to the artist’s eponymous survey that was published by Rizzoli back in 2010, WHERE THE END STARTS is billed as a “major survey of KAWS and his eye-popping work, from collectible art toys to UNIQLO T-shirts, from grafitti to museum exhibitions” and boasts contributions from the likes of Andrea Karnes, Michael Auping, Dieter Buchhart and Pharrell Williams — not to mention over 150 color reproductions of some of the artist’s most iconic works. And to celebrate, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth — which also happens to be the tome’s publisher — will be hosting an exhibition of the same name this October, photos of which will ultimately appear within the final copies of the book.

WHERE THE END STARTS is due out November 22 while the exhibition of the same name is slated to run from October 20, 2016 to January 22, 2017. The book can currently be reserved by museum members for $44 USD by emailing modernshop@themodern.org while non-members can place a pre-order with Amazon for $55 USD.
