Zevs, infamous for having defaced a Hong Kong Armani store in 2009, returns with his solo show entitled ”The Big Oil Splash.” The artist also known as Aguierre Schwarz levels his anti-corporate critique at oil companies including Esso and Exxon through a series of paintings, monochromes and sculptures. Revisiting his “liquidated,” drip-paint aesthetic, the street artist takes his work to canvas and finer mediums for his show at Lazarides Rathbone. “The Big Oil Splash” exhibition runs from July 28 to September 1.
