Kanye West's Art Installation Postponed Until Next Year

His collaboration with Robert Wilson will make its debut in 2017 instead.

Kanye West was scheduled to be part of performance artist Robert Wilson’s annual bash at The Watermill Center in the Hamptons this summer, but the duo have come to an artistic decision “to postpone their collaboration in order to continue developing a performance work.” According to Observer the art installation will debuting in 2017 instead, though performances and installations by the likes of Pussy Riot and Anohni are still scheduled to take place today. Best known for his work with Philip Glass on Einstein on the Beach, in addition to various sculptural and furniture projects, it’ll be intriguing to see how Wilson’s penchant for austere style and slow movement will play into Mr. West’s performance next year. Despite postponing last minute, Kanye still has a lot going on having recently debuted his Balmain-backed visual for “Wolves” and a limited-edition colorway of his YEEZY Season 2 military crepe boot.
