KAWS Unveils 'BFF' Sculpture and Collection at Central Embassy Bangkok

The artist’s newest blue-furred mascot will be making his debut appearance in Thailand.

Highly-acclaimed artist KAWS is debuting a new large-scale sculpture in Bangkok in addition to a complementary product line. As part of a partnership with the iconic Central Embassy in the Thai capital, KAWS’s BFF sculpture will be on display from June 30 to July 31. The artist worked with longtime collaborator, Hong Kong-based creative studio AllRightsReserved, and marks one of KAWS’s largest sculptures to date standing at 8 meters tall. BFF was inspired by the idea of being “best friends forever,” and the closeness and lasting friendships of youth. Reminiscent of the artist’s signature “COMPANION” figure, the new sculpture features his trademark soft skull and crossbones and crossed-out eyes. The installation comes with a highly collectible series of products, including apparel and accessories. Stay tuned for more release details.
