Yayoi Kusama Opens "sculptures, paintings & mirror rooms" at Victoria Miro Gallery

The Japanese artist takes to London for a multimedia display.

Having taken to the likes of Denmark, Hawaii, and Connecticut in recent months, iconic Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama now turns her attentions to London, linking up with the British capital’s Victoria Miro Gallery to showcase “sculptures, paintings & mirror rooms.” Spanning each of the gallery’s three locations, as well as its waterside garden, the exhibition — as you may have guessed from the name — highlights sculptures and paintings alike, not to mention her immersive mirror rooms. Works on display include Kusama’s signature “Infinity Nets” and her ongoing “My Eternal Soul” series as she continues to reflect themes of personal obsession, as exhibited by her penchant for pattern and repetition.

“sculptures, paintings & mirror rooms” opened May 25 and will remain at the gallery through July 30.
