JR Has Finished Making the Louvre's Pyramid Disappear
The French artist’s disappearing act will be on display until June 27.

After announcing that JR would be making the Lourve’s iconic pyramid “disappear,” the French artist has finally completed the project. In an act of trompe l’oeil — or “fooling the eye,” JR has covered I.M. Pei’s signature glass entrance with an image of the Louvre itself, essentially hiding the glass structure in plain view. Entitled “JR au Louvre,” the project will be on display until June 27.
