CYRCLE. Commemorates Victims of Brussels Attack With Mural

A hopeful reminder that there is beauty in life and death.

Los Angeles-based art collective CYRCLE. pays tribute to the victims of the recent Brussels bombing with a mural for the Crystal Ship contemporary art festival in Ostend, Belgium. The work is titled “Matter Is Ephemeral Energy In Constant Revolution” and includes the date of the tragedy to serve as a remembrance. The piece is also meant to be a memorial for tragedy in general and paint a hopeful sentiment that there is beauty in life, as well as in death. The artists also quoted “WE NEVER DIE! We must end the cycle of hate and fear. It is time for compassion.” For behind-the-scenes images of how the mural was constructed, scroll through the gallery above and head over to CYRCLE.’s Instagram.
