Steve Nazar "Soccer, Surf and Aloha" @ In4mation Chinatown Recap
The return of the iconic T&C Surf Designs caricatures.

On February 5, lifestyle blog Kicks to the Pitch teamed up with Paradise Soccer club to present “Soccer, Surf and Aloha,” an art show featuring new work by Steve Nazar. Coinciding with the First Friday Honolulu Art Walk, the pop-up exhibition showcased new caricatures and storyboards that resembled the iconic T&C Surf Designs surfing characters he’s known for. A nod to Hawaii’s fledging soccer scene, the artist’s trademark caricatures were rehashed to incorporate soccer motifs alongside the usual array of surf-inspired cartoons. Aside from new artwork, a limited-edition collection was also available for purchase. The limited line featured jerseys, graphic T-shirts, pinsets, socks by Stance, stickers and a limited run of skateboards, all produced to highlight the artwork of Nazar. Check out a recap of the artwork above look for the pieces now on In4mation’s online store. The pop-up exhibition is open to the public until March 5 at In4mation’s Chinatown location.
