KAWS Exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park is the UK's First Look at the Playful Works of Art

The work is both graphic and vibrant, but still carries an urban spirit.

For the first time ever, Brian Donnelly (professionally known as KAWS) is displaying his work in the UK, namely 250 acres of Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The historical space is now home to a wide variety of KAWS’ instantly recognizable sculptural pieces as well as never before seen canvas pieces from his 2013 show Survival Machine. The showing contains variations of his classic pieces including the CompanionAccompliceChum, Bendy and Warm Regards characters, some of which are oversized and others taking on a variety of different external silhouettes including references to cartoon characters and corporate mascots. KAWS’ work which is a masterful blend of graphic, playful, urban pieces with a commentary on pop-culture is now open and will run through to June 12.
