Delve Into Photographer Takashi Yasui's Stunning Creative Process

Capturing all things Japanese culture in a unique way.

Takashi Yasui is a world-renowned photographer based in Tokyo, Japan. The 35-year-old shutterbug had started dabbling in photography six years ago and quit his day job in 2015 to transform his newfound hobby into a more serious profession. Yasui is recognized for his unique ability in capturing portraits and still lifes surrounding Japanese culture. From snapping the busy streets of the Big Mikan to the serene temples of the Golden Pavilion in Kyoto, the self-taught shooter continues to fascinate admirers with images that portray an intimate facade of the Land of the Rising Sun. His go-to gear? A Fujifilm X-T10 alongside a trio of single focus lenses: 56mm, 35mm and 16mm.

Adorama recently spotlighted Yasui in its “Through The Lens” series that offers viewers a glimpse behind the creative process of influential photographers from all across the globe. Get to know the striking, photographic talent of Takashi Yasui above and head over to his Instagram account to view more photos.
