Cleon Peterson x Case Studyo "Balance of Power" Sculpture Edition

Welcome to Peterson’s “gray world where law breakers and law enforcers are one in the same.”

Case Studyo has collaborated again with LA-based artist Cleon Peterson whose artworks take on a Hobbesian view of the world as “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.”

“Balance of Power” is a follow-up edition to last year’s sold-out “Destroying the Weak” sculpture edition, and is a glass glazed fine white porcelain object depicting a violent tableaux that’s signature to Cleon’s bold graphic style. In contrast to the previous piece which depicts a victim and a victor, this one shows two anonymous aggressors, undistinguishable from one another. The dystopian scene evokes a description of life as war between two individuals, neither of them holding the upper hand in this never-ending struggle for power.

The “Balance of Power” edition sculptures are limited to 25 and will be released on November 3. Each piece will be packaged in a screen-printed wood box, signed and numbered certificate by Cleon Peterson. Orders can be made via e-mail at contact@casestudyo.com.
