A Croatian Street Artist Made This Amazing Beating Heart Mural

A whole new meaning of “bringing street art to life.”

Lonac, a street artist hailing from the coastal country of Croatia, has given his street artwork a life of its own. Using a stepped approach in the progress of the painting, plus stop motion video of each step, the anatomically correct rendition of the human heart now appears as if it’s actually beating in the above animation. To add more creativity to the project, Lonac astutely uses the building’s original piping as arteries and again paints in steps so that it appears the blood pumps through them, into the muscle and outwards in fluidity. The artist claims there are more projects coming up along with prints, so be sure to check in on him for announcements in the following months — in the meantime, check out the preparation photos below for more insight into the mural.
