Gunner Stahl: The Photographer Who Captures Hip-Hop's Personal Moments
Private moments of A$AP Mob, Ian Connor, The Weeknd and Young Thug, amongst others.

Atlanta-based photographer Gunner Stahl isn’t your everyday front-of-stage snapper. Real name Jonathan Simmons, Gunner has been shooting rappers since 2010 and has since then built not only an impressive portfolio of candid, intimate shots, but also a relationship of trust with hip-hop’s elite that allows him the access that escapes so many others. From shots of The Weeknd, Ian Connor, Future, Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug and even the members of A$AP Mob paying their respects at the grave of group founder A$AP Yams, Gunner’s portfolio is a refreshing expression of talent in an oversaturated art form.
