Vitality and Verve: Transforming the Urban Landscape @ Long Beach Museum of Art
Get a glimpse of this extensive exhibition before the temporary murals are painted over.

Opened in conjunction with POW! WOW! Long Beach 2015, the “Vitality and Verve: Transforming the Urban Landscape” exhibition held at the Long Beach Museum of Art has been enrapturing the crowds in town since June 26. The exhibition features a comprehensive cross-section of the best practising muralists of today, including the likes of Cryptik, Jeff Soto, Low Bros, Meggs, Nosego, Nychos, Saber, and Tristan Eaton. “One of the goals behind ‘Vitality and Verve’ is to spotlight artists who are stepping out of their studios to paint on a grand scale using outdoor walls as their canvas as well as urban artists who are beginning to work in a traditional studio setting,” said Ron Nelson, executive director of the Long Beach Museum of Art. “Most of the works in this exhibition will be created on our gallery walls … resulting in an immediacy that extends well beyond the confines of a picture frame.” With the gallery walls due to be repainted after the exhibition ends on September 27, make sure you catch these masterworks before they are gone forever.
