Last night the Wes Anderson Tribute Show opened in the Chelsea district, New York. The large turnout of guests were treated to a delightful mix of tribute artwork, all centering around the iconic characters and art direction of Wes Anderson movies. The monotonous Margot Tenenbaum from The Royal Tenenbaums was seen as a favorite, with Martine Johanna’s dual portrait attracting a lot of attention. Matt Chase’s creation of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou event poster was complemented by Tracie Ching’s antiquated drawing of the Sugar Crabs which, if you remember from the movie, were early that year.
