After joining Zoë Kravitz and her band LOLAWOLF for its “Bitch” music video just last month, Miley Cyrus returns to our viral pages, gracing the cover of the Summer 2015 “Use Your Voice” issue of PAPER. Due to hit newsstands later this month, the issue’s cover sees a nude, mud-covered Cyrus — shot by photographer Paola Kudacki with creative direction from “We Can’t Stop” music video director Diane Martel — posing with her pet pig Bubba Sue while the story within focuses on the inspiration behind Cyrus’ Happy Hippie Foundation, a nonprofit that was launched earlier this year to help homeless and LGBT kids. In addition to the cover story, the magazine includes a conversation between Al Gore and Pharrell Williams about Live Earth 2015; interviews with Charli XCX, Troye Sivan and Cody Simpson; a profile of French pop singer Petite Meller; and celebrations of living legends like Quincy Jones, Joan Jett and Dolly Parton.
Billed as its biggest summer music issue ever, the “Use Your Voice” edition of PAPER drops June 22 while Miley’s full spread and cover story will hit papermag.com this Tuesday, June 9.
