Sculpture in the City 2015 to Include Pieces From Ai Weiwei & Damien Hirst
London’s annual city-wide art exhibition, “Sculpture in the City,” returns for its fifth edition

London’s annual city-wide art exhibition, “Sculpture in the City,” returns for its fifth edition with an impressive roster of talent. Having previously embedded work from Anish Kapoor, Anthony Gormley and Ryan Gander into the streetscape of London proper, SITC will feature work from Ai Weiwei and Damien Hirst this year. The works will join an elite selection of 15 pieces interspersed throughout the city, all of which simply aim to “[create] a better-built environment for communities to engage with” according to collaborator Victoria Thornton. Look for Sculpture in the City to launch beginning July 9 and run through May 2016.
