In light of Avengers: Age of Ultron hitting theaters, many people may be curious as to the lineage of the Avengers themselves; the series has seen a variety of members during its 50+ year history. Brooklyn-based Pop Chart Lab has done all the legwork, with its latest infographic charting the full membership in every issue of Avengers since 1963. As the poster points out, 87 heroes of the Marvel universe have been considered Avengers, making 44 different team rosters – and that’s not including spinoffs and replacements such as West Coast Avengers, Pet Avengers, Young Avengers, and the Dark Avengers.
